WHY is Teresa Wentzler so...???!!! (Insert favorite adjective...) I love her patterns, but they're so dratted...intricate and intimidating. I STILL haven't started the woodland faerie or Egyptian sampler patterns. I'm not 100% certain I love either my mom or fiancé that much! LOL! I did a few practice stitches tonight from the faerie pattern - the over-one-thread crosses...eeeeeesh. I may have to get a magnifying lamp. :: +Memory :: Tell a Friend :: 1 whack :: I need a whack I haven't been doing much alterations in the past few months. I finished this one. It only took me two days!
( ROAR ) The ABC Family Channel will be hosting another Harry Potter Movie Weekend on December 4-6, featuring exclusive first looks at material to be found on the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince DVD. From Tunxis Community College's Corner Cafe in Farmington, CT I havent' posted in about a week - for several reasons. First of all, bento # 560, 2which should have been a little more celebratory ended up rather pathetic - but then it was made after I came home from a party and I was pretty far from being sober, so all things considered, it turned out ok I think. Then I was busy with various RL stuff, then out internet had a break down (OMG withdrawal-victims screaming and shouting all over the place!)
But now I'm back ^_^ I do a lot of paper crafts below is a card I made and a scrapbook page on a 12x12 canvas. I am bad about using up my paper scraps and I throw out quite a bit. If I stuffed an envelope full would anyone be interested in receiving it in the mail? Reply with your email and I can use that to get an address rather than you leaving it here publicly.
ETA: I just remembered I got the inspiration for the 12x12 page here it was quite awhile ago so if you recognize your works inspiration please take credit! ( Photos ) Homemade lemon poppy seed muffins topped with streusel crumble. My fiance recently lost his job. We have a wedding coming up, plus the holidays, and we still have rent to pay and bills. Of course this means anything of value needs to go and this is all I have left- a cute little dolly with custom face and decently nice wardrobe :) ( PICS! ) ┉REQUEST: FINAL FANTASY XII •22 TEASERS ![]() click on over here → Sometimes, I do read books about vampires. This is rare, as I kind of hate most modern vampire myths and their romanticization. (Because undead creatures who want to Completely shunning the idea of Wangst=Otherness and that the best way to explore Otherness is to have a human woman moon over a Sexy Other in what is an almost inevitably creepy relationship, Hendee all but complete cuts out the human aspect and instead focuses almost entirely on the vampires themselves, who are human-like, but decidedly not human, and whose way of thinking is decidedly alien to our own. To Hendee’s vampires, humans are happy meals on legs, and the best reason to not eat the whole happy meal is that these happy meals sometimes have guns, and will totally alert the media. They also don’t have the time or interest for angsting about their immortal souls or pining for the one mortal who can save them. They crave companionship, but not necessarily love, and the companionship they crave is that of their own kind. At the end of Blood Memories Eleisha, our small and waiflike main character who has the ability to make people long to protect her, an ability far more frightening than being able to create fear or desire in your target, had gathered the beginnings of a new, small family around her, and learned that they may not be alone. Hunting Memories explores the consequences of that, and delves more into the history of the vampires, and their abilities. Blood Memories was pretty standalone, wrapping up pretty much every plotline that needed to be wrapped up, but Hunting Memories largely sets the stage for future books. My sole problem was how much time was spent in the head of Julian, Eleisha’s enemy. No matter what the reason, dwelling inside the head of a psychopath who spends all his time thinking about murderous revenge and about how much he wants to make that nasty woman to thwarted him suffer (and how he wishes his victims looked more like her) just isn’t my thing. His subordinates were ok, though. ![]() avie Avie has rather recently run away from home, so if you possibly see her - most likely picking your pocket only to nick your watch chain and not actually your watch - if you see her, please don't contact her parents. They'd be mortified to know she's turned into such a dreadful little thief. [ingredients: oh the usual sculpey, paint, hair, wire, fabric and....spats!] ( more pictures ) I just finished making an Advent Treat Box for the Grandkids, thought I'd offer it here as I saw folks looking for ideas, and I also would love ideas on how to improve this for next year.

White Ho Fan rice noodles with shoyu, sweet chilli and lime juice, dumplings, pak choi and home made banana bread More like this on my bento blog www.vegetarianbento.blogspot.com Some Monday stuff: I finally got around to starting up a personal blog. This is where I’ll dump all the stuff that doesn’t really fit at PvPonline.com or Webcomics.com. You can check it out at www.scottkurtz.com. I’m using tumblr.com for this and it’s been a lot of fun to play with. They even have a bad ass iPhone app so you can update on the go. This weekend I had the pleasure of filming an episode of The Variants, a brand new webseries about the crazy (almost true life) adventures of the staff of Zeus Comics and Toys. I couldn’t be more honored to have been asked to guest star on this series. In episode 5, which will debut on the first Wednesday of December, I play a cantankerous webcomic creator, who loses his temper at the drop of a hat, and has an ego the size of Texas. So as you can imagine, I was method acting. Wah-waaaahhh… Anyway, before this landmark webisode hits, you need to catch up on the episodes they’ve already posted. Episode 4 just went live this month. Check it out! Corva-dog,
I love you, and I realize your need to be close to me. However, being so close behind me while I am vacuuming that you step on the power cord and actually prevent me from moving the vacuum forward is not normal dog behavior in my book. Please, puppus, go lay down and let mommy finish cleaning up all of your dog-hair-monsters in the corners. Thanks - that lady gives you all sorts of treats. |
